Job summary

The Metropole Hotel Cork is seeking a Full Time Duty Manager to join the team on a full time basis. The role reports to the Deputy General Manager/General Manager and focuses on maintaining high standards of guest service, safety and operational efficiency.

Key duties include supervising daily operations across departments, coordinating staffing, managing guest issues, and ensuring the brand service strategy is delivered. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel operations and guest services.
• Ability to lead teams and liaise with Heads of Department.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health, safety and security standards on shift.
• Liaise with HODs to ensure staffing levels.
• Ensure operation runs to agreed standards and address discrepancies.
• Oversee F&B, Accommodation and Front Office as needed.
• Lead in fire safety drills and emergency response.
• Own the duty management documentation and handover processes.
• Provide guest satisfaction and service recovery.
