Job summary

The Merrion Hotel in Dublin is seeking an experienced Head Porter to lead the Porter team and ensure a warm, professional guest experience from arrival onward.

Reporting to Guest Relations leadership, the Head Porter will coordinate daily porter duties, manage luggage, parking, and assist guests with bookings while upholding The Merrion's service standards and health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to The Merrion with warmth and professionalism.
• Lead and coordinate the Porter team, allocating tasks and ensuring duties are completed.
• Deliver and collect luggage in line with LQA standards and tag/store items securely.
• Manage hotel car park parking and retrieval for guests.
• Keep the front hall and entrance areas tidy, welcoming and well presented.
• Assist guests with bookings and reservations, including taxis, theatres, flights, and restaurants.
