Job summary

The Merrion in Dublin is seeking a Night Hall Porter to welcome guests, assist with luggage, deliver newspapers, and support guest services after hours in a luxury hotel environment.

You will join a professional team, with training and development opportunities, focusing on safety, courtesy and exceptional hospitality for our guests.

Qualifications

• Professional and courteous communication with guests and colleagues.
• Shift work required: 10.45pm - 7.00am, 5 nights per week.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the hotel.
• Assist guests with luggage storage, delivery and collection.
• Deliver newspapers, correspondence and packages to rooms.
• Safely dispatch guests’ vehicles to/from the car park.
• Provide information to guests on facilities and local attractions.
• Assist guests with information on tourist attractions.
• Drinks service, room service, laundry collection, housekeeping tasks as needed.

The Role

We are looking for a service driven individual to join our five star Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to either begin or continue your career in one of the Leading Hotels of the World. Working with a professional and welcoming Team you will be part of creating Merrion Moments for our guests and colleagues with your main duties including:

• Welcome all guests to the hotel.
• Assist guest with storage, delivery and collection of luggage.
• Deliver newspapers, correspondence and packages to guest bedrooms.
• Safely dispatch guests vehicles to and from the Hotel car park.
• Provide information to hotel guests as requested.
• Assist guests with information on tourist attractions and facilities.
• Drinks service, Room Service - food delivery, laundry collection, Housekeeping i.e. moving furniture.
