Job summary

Harry Walsh Associates Ltd. is seeking a Field-based Technical Sales Engineer to join our Ireland Sales team and manage accounts across the Leinster region, with emphasis on Pharma, Biotech and Food manufacturing sectors.

You will consolidate, protect and grow the customer base, meet sales targets and develop new business opportunities. A Mechanical Engineering degree and 5+ years in technical sales within fluid handling are preferred; travel will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in a technical sales role, ideally within the Fluid Handling sector, with demonstrable track record in sales and revenue growth with assigned customer accounts in the manufacturing sector.
• Experience of engineering products or similar associated technical equipment is an advantage.
• Will be a team player while also welcoming the challenge of working on his/her own initiative.
• An excellent ability to think laterally and provide innovative solutions.
• Tenacious, assertive and results oriented, ambitious & successful with client management.
• Very flexible with travel when required, attending relevant sales meetings and supplier training.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate, Protect and Grow the customer base
• Meet agreed Sales Targets and ensure we are the preferred partner for the customer
• Develop new business opportunities and manage assigned key accounts
• Maintain a Sales and call plan for the area, customer & product focused
• Meet company sales KPIs and other KPIs as agreed
• Participate in continuous personal and product training as required
• Work closely with internal and external sales teams
• Reporting to the Sales Director, submit timely sales analysis, reports and sales planning
