Johnson Controls is seeking a Product Engineer II at our Dublin, Ireland location to support the European air-cooled chiller engineering team. You will contribute to mechanical design, testing, and data analysis across projects while collaborating with production, lab, service, and marketing teams in Europe.

You will apply fluid and thermal principles, plus European codes (CE, PED, Machinery Directive, EN 378, EN 14511), to deliver reliable components and systems.

Qualificações

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of fluid and thermal principles.
• Working knowledge of CE marking, PED, Machinery Directive, EN 378, EN 14511.
• Proficient in mechanical design and taking ideas to production.
• Proficient with 3D CAD and producing production drawings to ISO/EN drafting conventions.
• Strong data handling and written/verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% mainly within Europe.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and applies theories and principles related to fluid, thermal, refrigeration, and mechanical aspects of air-cooled chillers.
• Follow instructions and processes to conceptualize and implement design ideas into products.
• Define activities for projects and complete detailed mechanical design for components.
• Prepare and release documentation to support designs and ensure compliance with European standards.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, production, and marketing teams across Europe.
• Mentor junior engineers and report project status to the team.
