Job summary

Johnson Controls in Ireland seeks a Lead Electrical Design Specialist for the European Chiller Engineering Team. You will design electrical systems, create schematics, wiring layouts, and harness routes for industrial chillers, and collaborate with mechanical designers to ensure integrated product performance.

You will develop electrical documentation, manage BOMs, and support manufacturing and service teams while ensuring compliance with European standards and design guidelines.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering or related discipline required with manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Creo Parametric and Creo Schematics.
• Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels.
• Knowledge of Windchill PDM and SAP/ERP for BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical designs and 3D documentation for chiller products.
• Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, harness routings, and panel layouts.
• Collaborate with mechanical designers to ensure integrated product designs.
• Produce BOMs and engineering documentation for production and service teams.
• Ensure compliance with European standards and company guidelines.
• Support changes, investigate issues, and drive design improvements.
• Provide guidance to junior designers.
