Job summary

Carton House in Ireland is seeking a Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team. You will take bookings for all bedrooms, maximise occupancy and revenue, and upsell hotel facilities.

The role requires experience in a 4/5-star property, flexibility including weekends, and proficiency with Opera. You will communicate with guests and colleagues to deliver exceptional service and build rapport.

Qualifications

• Previous Reservations experience within a 4/5* property.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, Bank Holidays, early shifts and evening shifts.
• Working knowledge of Opera.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Results driven with a strong personality and the ability to build rapport with people.
• Confident in communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Take bookings for all bedrooms, as per Carton House standards.
• Ensure bookings are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue.
• Upsell all hotel facilities at every opportunity.
• Accurately input all guests requests into the hotel booking system.
• Assist the client with any special requests.
• Ensure all correspondence is answered, recorded and filed accurately.
• Identify all sales opportunities and convert into bookings.
• Consult with the Reservations Manager/Director of Revenue for group and agency bookings.
