Job summary

Carton House in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland, is recruiting a Reservations Agent to join our Reservations team. You will manage bookings for bedrooms, maximize occupancy and revenue, and upsell hotel facilities.

The role requires previous reservations experience in a 4/5-star property, flexibility including weekends, Opera knowledge, and strong attention to detail. You will build rapport with guests and coordinate with the Reservations Manager for group and agency bookings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bookings are managed to maximise sales, occupancy and revenue.
• Upsell all hotel facilities at every opportunity.
• Accurately input all guests' requests into the hotel booking system.
• Assist the client with any special requests.
• Ensure all correspondence is answered, recorded and filed accurately.
• Identify all sales opportunities and convert into bookings.
• Consult with Reservations Manager/Director of Revenue for group and agency bookings.

Key Requirements:

• Previous Reservations experience withina 4/5* property.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, Bank Holidays, early shifts and evening shifts.
• Working knowledge of Opera.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Results driven with a strong personality and the natural ability to build rapport with people.
• Confident in communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
