Job summary

Shopify is seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead DACH mid-market initiatives from Ireland. You will source, qualify, and close deals with German-speaking brands while expanding existing Shopify merchants across online and retail.

Expect rigorous discovery, strategic business cases, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will manage end-to-end sales cycles, leveraging CRM and sales tools to forecast accurately, and you will travel within the DACH region for on-site

Qualifications

• Native or near-native German and professional English required.
• Proven closing sales experience with targets exceeded in new business.
• Strong outbound prospecting skills; build your own pipeline.
• Ability to run structured, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery to close.
• Consultative, evidence-based selling with business-case development.
• Comfort with technical depth (APIs, ERP, POS integrations) and product mastery.

Responsibilities

• Own a DACH mid-market territory end to end: source, qualify, and close new merchants while expanding existing Shopify accounts.
• Outbound with urgency: multi-channel outreach to generate and progress pipeline.
• Lead replatforming evaluations and guide brands through migration decisions with TCO business cases.
• Engage founders, C-levels, and ecommerce leaders with multi-threaded relationships and mutual action plans.
• Advise merchants on the full Shopify platform including checkout, payments, POS, and international expansion.
• Maintain CRM hygiene, accurate forecasting, and clear next steps to optimize deal execution.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate learning and improve deal velocity.
• Travel within DACH to meet prospects, attend trade shows, and conduct on-site evaluations.
