Job summary

Recruiters in Ireland is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter for a hybrid role in South Dublin. You will evaluate and underwrite multi-line commercial business, working closely with broker partners and internal sales teams to drive growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.

The role requires 4+ years in Commercial Underwriting, strong technical knowledge, and a proven ability to manage risk.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial underwriting.
• Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting principles.
• Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Commercial Property and Liability business in line with company standards and risk appetite.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders.
• Support business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities while ensuring quality risk selection.
• Utilize pricing tools and maintain underwriting discipline to achieve financial objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriting staff.
• Monitor market trends and contribute to the development of product strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting policies.

The Role
