Job summary

Salthill Hotel in Galway invites an experienced Assistant Bar & Lounge Manager to lead our bar and lounge operations with warmth and guest focus. Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within a bar or hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for customer service and guest experience.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of drinks service, cocktails, wines, and bar operations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive, professional, and hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of daily bar and lounge operations.
• Lead, motivate, and support the bar and lounge team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high standards in service, presentation, and cleanliness.
• Support staff training, onboarding, and performance development.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, wastage control, and cost management.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety, HACCP, and licensing regulations.
• Handle guest queries and resolve issues in a professional and friendly manner.
• Other duties as required.
