Job summary

Celestica Galway is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician to support highly automated production and implement continuous improvement on factory systems. The role focuses on troubleshooting high-speed assembly machines, maintaining PLC programs, and robotics calibration in a regulated environment.

The position requires hands-on electrical, PLC and networking skills, with a pattern that includes night shifts (8pm–8am) on a B shift schedule.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as an Automation Technician or equivalent.
Working knowledge of PLC codes and electrical designs.
Experience with highly automated high-speed assembly lines.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot high speed automated assembly machines.
Sustain machine PLC programs.
Troubleshoot and replace faulty electrical components.
Calibration and maintenance of robots.
Installation, configuration maintenance of bar code scanning equipment.
Provide Final Third Level support on all technical issues.
Contribute to efficiency improvement projects through code upgrades.
Provide technical support to multiple lines and record issue resolutions.
Work to meet performance targets.
Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer networks, including LANs, WANs, and intranets.
