Job summary

Celestica Galway is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 (Shift C) to join our manufacturing engineering team. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and coordination of equipment repairs to uphold uptime, speed, and quality targets.

The role requires hands‑on mechanical skills, strong problem solving, clear written and verbal English, and the ability to work in a team within a fast‑paced environment. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of setup, lubrication, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
• Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
• High level of hands-on technical ability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (in English).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to manufacturing excellence and a safe environment.
• Flexibility – to participate in training courses, maintenance events and project support work.
• Ability to work on own initiative, self‑driven.
• Resourceful, hands‑on, gets hands dirty and enjoys a challenge.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as per supervision and engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to co-ordinate equipment repairs.
• Support the team to meet performance targets for uptime, speed, yield and quality.
• Provide details and inputs into spare parts usage.
• Support Engineering and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Support training and assist other Technicians and Operators.
