Job summary

Celestica, Inc. is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 for the D shift in Galway. You will support an automated production environment, troubleshoot high-speed machines and sustain PLC programs while aiming for efficiency gains.

The role requires PLC expertise, robotics knowledge, and strong electrical fundamentals. Expect hands-on hardware maintenance, bar-code systems, and cross-line technical support across multiple production lines.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years as Automation Technician or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of PLCs, electrical designs and automation.
• Ideally Level 6 Diploma in Electrical & Automation Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot high speed automated assembly machines.
• Maintain and debug PLC programs and Robotics systems.
• Calibrate and maintain robots; service bar code scanning equipment.
• Ensure data capture and tracking across processes.
• Provide Level 3/4 technical support and document resolutions.
