Job summary

Celestica, Inc. in Galway is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 for shift B to investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures and perform planned maintenance under supervision. You will maintain accurate records and coordinate with other teams to meet uptime targets.

The role requires hands-on mechanical ability, troubleshoot skills, and good English communication. Training will be provided for specific machines; a relevant mechanical cert/diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years experience as a technician or fitter in a highly mechanical environment.
• Ideally a Cert./Diploma/Senior Trades in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as per supervision and engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to coordinate equipment repairs and support uptime targets.
