Job summary

Celestica, Inc. in Galway is seeking an Operations Engineering Support 2 to perform maintenance and support for mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment.

The role focuses on investigating failures, executing preventative maintenance, maintaining records, and coordinating repairs while supporting uptime and quality targets across shifts. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of mechanical technician experience and a relevant cert/ diploma.

Qualifications

• Ideally a Cert. / Diploma / Senior Trades in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic components is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and fix mechanical equipment failures.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance as per supervision and engineering guidance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance and tracking records.
• Interact with other teams to co-ordinate equipment repairs.
• Support the team to meet performance targets for uptime, speed, yield and quality
• Support good communication in the shift and between shifts.
• Attend shift meetings and give status updates.
• Provide details and inputs into spare parts usage.
• Support Engineering and Continuous Improvement projects.
• Support training and assist other Technicians and Operators.
