Job summary

Airport Staff is seeking an experienced Air Freight Pricing Specialist to join a North Dublin team on a fixed-term contract through January 2028. The role focuses on delivering competitive air freight pricing across customer accounts and the global network, with emphasis on pharmaceutical logistics and tender support.

You will work with Sales, Operations and Management to shape pricing strategies, manage RFQs/RFIs, and drive profitable growth while maintaining airline partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Air Freight Operations and Procurement.
• Strong commercial pricing experience for air freight.
• Experience with RFQs, RFIs, tenders and airline procurement.
• Experience within pharmaceutical logistics is highly desirable.
• Ability to analyse pricing data and support commercial decisions.

Salary: Hybrid, Pension, up to 25 days AL

Our client, a leading logistics company in North Dublin, is seeking an experienced Product Pricing Specialist (Air Freight) to join their commercial team on a Fixed Term Contract running until January 2028.

This is a key commercial role focused on delivering competitive, timely, and specialist air freight pricing solutions across customer accounts and global network opportunities. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting business growth, maximising profitability, strengthening airline partnerships, and driving operational excellence, particularly within the pharmaceutical logistics sector.

Working closely with Sales, Operations, and Senior Management, you will help shape air freight pricing strategies, support tender submissions, and contribute to the acquisition of new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all customer and network air freight pricing requests, including spot quotes, tenders, RFQs, RFIs, and project quotations.
• Deliver accurate, competitive, and commercially viable air freight pricing solutions within agreed timelines.
• Support the ongoing development and growth of the air freight product offering.
• Design and implement end-to-end air freight solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Management teams to develop effective pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and customer expectations.
• Maintain strong awareness of air freight market trends, airline procurement activity, and rate developments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key airline partners and suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement, and business development within the air freight portfolio.
• Support the implementation of new business from quotation stage through to operational execution.
• Maintain and analyse pricing and quotation data to identify trends, opportunities, and performance improvements.
• Work closely with Commercial teams to identify and qualify new business opportunities, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical logistics.
• Provide data-driven insights to support sales initiatives, customer negotiations, and commercial decision-making.
• Assist across other logistics products including Ocean Freight, Road Freight, Customs, and related services when required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis, reporting, and process optimisation.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Air Freight Operations and Procurement.
• Strong commercial awareness with proven experience delivering competitive air freight pricing solutions.
• Previous exposure to the pharmaceutical logistics sector is highly desirable.
• Experience managing RFQs, RFIs, tender submissions, and airline procurement activities.
• Strong understanding of air freight market dynamics, airline pricing structures, and capacity management.
• Established relationships with major airline partners.
• Excellent analytical and data management skills with the ability to translate information into commercial decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Highly organised, methodical, and customer-focused.
• Experience within multi-modal freight operations would be advantageous.
• Logistics, Supply Chain, or related degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Fixed Term Contract until January 2028
