Job summary

Logiskills in Dublin is seeking an experienced Airfreight Pricing Specialist on a 15-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanency. The role focuses on delivering competitive air freight pricing solutions, handling RFQs and tenders, and collaborating with Sales, Product and Operations to optimise profitability.

The candidate will manage pricing strategy in a fast-moving market, including pharma logistics, and will work hybrid with two days WFH after probation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and data management skills; interpret complex air freight data to support decisions.
• Experience with RFQ/RFI processes and airline procurement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all air freight pricing requests including RFQs, RFIs, and quotes.
• Design and implement end-to-end air pricing solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales and Product to develop pricing strategies for pharma logistics.
• Maintain air quote logs and analyse trends for margin improvement.
• Support end-to-end quotation to booking processes with Operations to ensure smooth execution.

Location: Dublin North (2 days WFH after 6-month probation)

Leading North Dublin freight specialist now requires an experienced Airfreight Pricing Specialist for a 15-Month Fixed Term Contract with potential for permanency. The Airfreight Pricing Specialist will deliver competitive, timely, and specialised air freight pricing solutions to their customers and network. This role is responsible for managing all air pricing and procurement requests, including Freight RFQs, RFIs, and project quotes. There will be a strong emphasis on market awareness and operational excellence- particularly within the pharma sector. Through comprehensive data analysis and close collaboration with Sales, Product, and Operations teams, you will actively support the acquisition of new air freight business, maximise gross profit, and ensure effective cost management for air product accounts.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Serve as the primary point of contact and procurement for all customer and network spot quote/ tender requests for Air Freight, ensuring responses are competitive, accurate and timely.
• Focus on product development, supporting sales initiatives to drive growth for the air product.
• Design and implement full end-end Product solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Senior Managers and Sales teams to develop and implement effective air pricing strategies that reflect current market conditions, customer needs, and industry trends, including pharma logistics.
• Maintain a deep understanding of air freight market trends, airline procurement, rate structures, and communicate relevant insights to Sales and Operations teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities and gaps within air pricing activities, recommend action plans to capture new air business, and strengthen existing accounts.
• Support the end-to-end implementation process from quote to booking, working closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain, update, and analyze the air quote log, identifying trends, growth opportunities, and areas for margin improvement in the air product portfolio.
• Partner with Commercial team to identify and qualify new leads based on air pricing and market analysis, especially in the pharma sector.
• Support Sales initiatives and marketing campaigns by delivering analytical insights and competitive air pricing solutions.
• Utilize strong data and analytical skills to assess performance, drive process improvements, and support the achievement of commercial targets for air freight.
• Support other Products (Ocean/ Road/ Customs etc.) when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in air freight operations & procurement, with proven commercial acumen and strong exposure to the pharma sector.
• Demonstrated ability to provide timely, competitive air pricing and adapt to fast-changing market conditions, including pharma logistics requirements.
• Strong analytical and data management skills; ability to interpret complex air freight data to support commercial decisions.
• Strong relationship with main Airline partners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey market knowledge and air pricing rationale to Sales, Product, and Operations teams.
• Experience with RFQ/RFI processes, commercial tendering, and airline procurement is highly desirable.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, spot gaps, and drive innovation.
• Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of performing under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
