Job summary

Genesys seeks a Software Development Engineer with a strong UI focus to join our Work Automation team in Galway. You will design, build and maintain high-quality Angular-based UI components and integrate them with REST APIs within the Genesys Cloud platform.

You will own features end-to-end from design to deployment, collaborate closely with UX, PMs and other engineers, and contribute to performance, accessibility and security considerations while continuously improving engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development with a focus on web/UI?
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience building modern web apps with component-based frameworks (Angular/React/Vue)
• Solid HTML/CSS and responsive web design understanding
• Experience consuming REST APIs and writing tests
• Familiarity with CI/CD and source control
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Interest in AI-assisted development is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain UI components using Angular
• Own features through design, implementation, testing and deployment
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with UX, PMs and engineers to translate requirements into UI solutions
• Integrate UI with REST APIs and cloud services
• Focus on performance, accessibility and security in development
• Utilize telemetry to understand feature behavior in production
• Contribute to engineering process improvements
