Job summary

Genesys is seeking a backend-focused Software Engineer to work on Agentic Orchestration, turning customer intent into an outcome by reasoning over journey state, policies and goals. You will build backend services for an AI-assisted authoring experience and integrate LLMs to generate and validate plans.

The role requires 3+ years of software engineering with Java or Python, REST API design, and experience integrating services, CI/CD, and agile teamwork.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend service development in Java or Python.
• Strong REST API design and OOP/FP principles.

Responsibilities

• Build the backend services behind an AI-assisted authoring experience turning natural language into structured, machine-readable plans.
• Integrate large language models to generate plans and validate them, enforcing schemas for consistency.
• Integrate with internal services to surface building blocks and normalise data from sources.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment in an agile team.
