Job summary

Ministry Brands seeks a hands-on UX Engineer to join a core Agile team, shaping user experiences from research to production-ready code. You will partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Engineers to deliver accessible, high-performance SaaS features and contribute to a reusable component library.

You will help establish design system standards, embrace AI-assisted tools, and continually improve user experience across our platform with a modern, responsive approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in UX Engineering, Front-End Development, Product Design, or similar role.
• Experience designing and building modern web applications.
• Strong knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs using Figma or similar tools.
• Strong front-end development with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding of responsive design and modern UI frameworks.
• Experience with component-based design systems.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility and inclusive design practices.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating UX design and front-end implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-centred experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into elegant solutions.
• Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Build and maintain reusable front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently.
• Contribute to and maintain our design system and component library.
• Champion accessibility, usability, responsive and inclusive design best practices.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and analyse feedback to improve UX.
• Work with AI-assisted design and development tools to accelerate iteration.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and lifecycle collaboration.
• Stay current with UX trends and front-end best practices.
