Job summary

Genesys Galway is seeking a backend-focused Software Engineer to work on Agentic Orchestration (AO), turning a customer’s intent into an outcome by reasoning over journey state, policies and goals to decide the next best action across AI agents, systems and people.

You will own features end-to-end from design through deployment, integrating large language models to generate and validate plans, enforce schemas and power orchestration, while collaborating with an agile team and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of software engineering experience in backend services.
• Strong backend service development in Java or Python with REST API design.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs for generation and validation of structured output.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services behind an AI-assisted authoring experience.
• Integrate LLMs to generate and validate plans, enforce schemas and handle non-determinism.
• Integrate with internal services to surface building blocks and normalise data sources.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment in an agile team.
