Job summary

Genesys in Ireland is seeking a Frontend Engineer to design and build high quality UI features using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. You’ll contribute across product roadmaps in a collaborative Agile team and participate in code reviews.

You will work with REST web services, CI/CD processes, and security/usability considerations while embracing AI-enabled tooling to boost productivity and code quality. A growth mindset and frontend passion are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of web development experience delivering UX driven designs.
• Excellent programming skills in Angular, and some of the following; JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience in consuming and building REST Web services.
• Experience in the usage of version control tools like ‘git’
• Experience of CI/CD processes and technologies.
• Proactive, self-driven, and possessing a growth mindset.
• A passion for frontend development.
• Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety, privacy, reliability)

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high quality, efficient, testable software to implement key product features
• Bring features all the way through the Design, Test, Deploy, Maintain cycle
• Understand the overall architecture of the system and the wider ecosystem
• Actively participate in team code reviews
• Follow UX best practices to ensure the best possible customer experience
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and delivery while maintaining strong engineering standards
• Apply processes appropriately for data security, traceability, and information sharing
