Job summary

Jones Engineering, a long-standing Dublin-based engineering contractor, is seeking an AP Specialist to join their overseas finance team stationed at Dublin 4. The role focuses on high-volume accounts payable across multiple overseas entities and SAP processing.

You will manage invoices, vendor queries, reconciliations, the AP mailbox, and monthly employee expenses, reporting to the European Financial Controller.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in Accounts Payable.
• Third level qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a multinational environment with high invoice volumes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Excel and overall computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices/credit notes and expenses using SAP.
• Address vendor queries promptly.
• Complete vendor reconciliations.
• Manage AP mailbox.
• Process monthly employee expenses.
• Prepare payment proposals for weekly payment run.
• Process changes to vendor account setup.
• Work with purchasing and commercial teams to resolve invoice issues.
• Ensure general ledger postings are coded correctly.
• Ad-hoc projects as required.
• Completion of process documentation.

Job Description

Jones Engineering are looking to hire an AP Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role based onsite at our headquarters in Pembroke Road, Dublin 4.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Accounts Payable process within a high-volume, multinational environment. They will join the overseas finance team with responsibility for the accounts payable process across multiple overseas entities. This role will report into the European Financial Controller.

In this role, You will;

• Process invoices/credit notes and expenses using SAP system
• Dealing with vendor queries in a timely manner
• Completion of vendor reconciliations
• Managing the accounts payable mailbox
• Process monthly employee expenses
• Preparation of payment proposals for weekly payment run
• Process changes to vendor account set up
• Work with purchasing and commercial team to resolve invoice issues
• Ensure general ledger postings are coded correctly
• Ad-hoc projects as required
• Completion of process documentation

For this role you will need;

• Candidates must have a minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Third level qualification or equivalent
• Experience in a multinational environment with high invoice volumes
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others
• Strong Excel skills and overall computer skills required
• Experience with construction company preferable
