Job summary

Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Dublin 2 (city centre location)
Salary: €40,000 - 45,000 per annum
Contract: Initial 6 month contract with potential extension
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days remote)

The Opportunity

An established international consumer goods business is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join its Dublin-based finance team on an initial 6 month contract. Operating across multiple international markets, the company has built a strong reputation within its sector and offers a collaborative, fast-moving environment where finance plays a key role in supporting business growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AP professional who enjoys working in a high-volume setting and is looking to join a friendly, supportive finance function.

The Role

Working as part of a dedicated accounts payable team and reporting directly to the AP Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and prioritising a busy accounts payable inbox
• Supporting full end-to-end AP cycle and three way matching
• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timelines
• Responding to supplier queries and resolving invoice-related issues
• Preparing payment runs and bank transfers
• Completing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
• Maintaining positive vendor relationships and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items
• Processing employee expense claims and supporting reporting requirements
• Updating financial records and working across ERP and finance systems
• Assisting with month-end AP activities and ensuring compliance with internal controls

About You

We're looking for an organised and proactive finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate work.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment and three way matching
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to support the wider team
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and stakeholders
• Experience working within a multinational, FMCG, or similar fast-moving business would be advantageous
• ERP system experience, such as SAP, would be beneficial but is not essential
