Job summary

Samudera Indonesia is seeking a skilled Workday HCMS specialist to lead functional design and governance across Workday streams. You’ll coordinate design, configuration, testing, and end-to-end enhancements while advising on system capabilities and driving digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Human Capital, with a focus on HR technology or systems management.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday HCMS (specialized knowledge in Compensation, Expense, Absence, Time Tracking, and Adaptive Planning preferred).
• Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into optimized technical workflows and functional system configurations.
• High degree of autonomy and initiative for independent project execution and decision-making.
• High proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Own the functional design and governance of the assigned Workday streams, ensuring processes, configuration, and data comply with HR policies and standards.
• Lead the design, configuration, and testing of functional system changes to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead impact analysis, UAT, and documentation of system changes, delivering enhancements end to end with minimal supervision.
• Act as consultative partner to HCBPs and CoEs, providing expert advice on system capabilities and translating business requirements into optimized workflows.
• Serve as the functional expert on current and upcoming Workday features, and identify opportunities to improve adoption and drive digital transformation.
• Serve as escalation point for complex functional issues, leading root cause analysis and vendor engagement for structural fixes.
• Coach and share knowledge with the Samudera HCMS team, document critical configuration and process knowledge.
• Ensure IMS (Integrated Management System) implementation and manage risk documentation within the department's scope.
• Promote commitment to IMS requirements among all team members.
• Participate in investigation processes of accidents or incidents, providing accurate reporting based on facts.
• Engage in information security controls to protect company information assets.
