Job summary

Samudera Indonesia is seeking an SDM HCMS Functional Specialist to own the Workday streams, ensure compliance with HR policies, and drive digital transformation across the HR tech stack.

You will lead design, configuration, testing, and UAT, act as a trusted advisor to HCBPs and CoEs, and deliver end-to-end system enhancements with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, management, IT, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Capital, HR technology or systems management.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday HCMS; expertise in Compensation, Expense, Absence, Time Tracking, and Adaptive Planning preferred.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into optimized technical workflows and configurations.
• High autonomy and initiative; capable of independent project execution.
• Strong English skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Own the functional design and governance of the assigned Workday streams, ensuring processes, configuration, and data comply with HR policies and standards.
• Lead design, configuration, and testing of functional system changes, including business process updates and feature enablement, to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead the impact analysis, UAT, and documentation of system changes, and deliver enhancements end to end with minimal supervision.
• Act as consultative partner to HCBPs and CoEs, providing expert advice on system capabilities and translating business requirements into optimized Workday workflows.
• Serve as the functional expert on current and upcoming Workday features, proactively identify opportunities to improve adoption and drive digital transformation.
• Escalate complex functional issues, lead root cause analysis, and coordinate vendor engagement for structural fixes.
• Coach and share knowledge with the Samudera HCMS team, and document critical configuration and process knowledge.
