About the role

PT. China State Construction Overseas Development Shanghai is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Visa Officer to join our team in West Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in managing visa and immigration matters for our organisation. As Visa Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating visa applications, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. This position is crucial to supporting the smooth operations of our company and facilitating the movement of personnel across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Process visa applications for expatriate employees, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of visa regulations and immigration requirements for relevant countries
• Communicate with immigration authorities, and visa agency on behalf of the organisation
• Prepare and organise visa documentation, including application forms, supporting letters, and other required paperwork
• Track visa application status and provide timely updates to relevant departments and personnel
• Maintain confidential records of visa applications and immigration matters
• Assist with visa renewal processes and ensure compliance with visa conditions
• Provide guidance to employees regarding visa requirements and procedures
• Liaise with human resources and other departments to coordinate visa-related matters
• Ensure all visa documentation is filed and archived appropriately for audit purposes

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience in visa processing or immigration administration
• Strong knowledge of visa regulations and immigration procedures, particularly for Indonesia and other relevant countries
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency with administrative software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Indonesian
• Ability to manage multiple applications and prioritise tasks effectively
• Discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Familiarity with international business operations is preferred
