Asia Pulp and Paper Group (APP) is seeking an experienced Cogen Operations Supervisor to lead the daily operation of Cogeneration (Cogen) and Boiler systems. You will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while maintaining high equipment availability and performance.
The role requires 5+ years in boiler operations, leadership skills, and a strong grasp of maintenance planning, TPM/6S, and operational reporting.
We are looking for an experienced Cogen Operations Supervisor to lead and oversee the daily operation of our Cogeneration (Cogen) and Boiler systems. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while maintaining high equipment availability and operational performance.
Key responsibilities
Supervise daily operation and maintenance activities of the Cogeneration (Cogen) / Boiler system to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Monitor and control boiler operational parameters, performance, availability, and efficiency.
Ensure smooth operation of the RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel) plant, including high skill production and operational activities.
Prepare and review daily operational reports and ensure accurate recording of operational data.
Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), 6R/6S, and Safety practices within the operational area.
Coordinate operational planning, maintenance activities, and manpower allocation.
Monitor and control spare parts availability and usage to support operational reliability.
Identify operational issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment performance.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, operational standards, and environmental requirements.
Lead the team to achieve operational, safety, and efficiency targets.
About you
Minimum D3 / S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in boiler operations and maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing, power generation, or energy intensive industry.
Experience in Cogen/Boiler operation and maintenance is highly preferred.
Experience in RDF plant operation/production is an advantage.
Strong understanding of boiler performance, efficiency, maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.
Familiar with TPM, 6R/6S, safety practices, and operational reporting.
Good understanding of maintenance planning and spare-part control.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
