Job summary

Asia Pulp and Paper (APP) is seeking experienced Electrical & Power Plant professionals for operation, maintenance, and reliability of power generation and electrical distribution systems in our facilities. Roles include Technician Electrical Maintenance, Supervisor Electrical Maintenance, or Specialist Cogen Operation, depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in power plant or cogeneration plant.
Experience in operation and maintenance of LV/MV/HV electrical systems.
Strong knowledge of Transformers, MCC (Motor Control Center), MV/HV Switchgear, Generator operation and maintenance, Relay protection systems, Switchgear maintenance, Power quality analysis.
Familiar with PLC, DCS, SCADA systems, Instrumentation and process control; Installation, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance activities; Steam turbine and boiler systems.
Experience in Shutdown management, Breakdown maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), SAP PM Module
Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

Perform operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities for electrical and power generation equipment.
Ensure reliable operation of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems.
Conduct preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
Analyze electrical system issues and implement corrective actions through RCA.
Support shutdown planning, execution, load shedding, black start activities, and emergency response.
Monitor and improve power quality, including harmonics and overcurrent issues.
Maintain and troubleshoot transformers, MCCs, switchgears, generators, protection relays.
