Asia Pulp and Paper Group (APP) seeks a Manager of Engineering & Maintenance to lead engineering and maintenance activities during commissioning and start-up of OKI 3 Paper in South Sumatra. You will oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utilities teams, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensure handover per project specs and OEM requirements.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 10–15 years in heavy process industries with 5+ years in
Lead engineering and maintenance activities throughout commissioning and start-up.
Manage multidisciplinary teams covering mechanical, electrical, automation, instrumentation, and utilities.
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Ensure plant systems are commissioned, tested, and handed over in accordance with project specifications and OEM requirements.
Establish maintenance procedures, CMMS, equipment hierarchy, and spare parts strategies.
Monitor equipment reliability through KPIs such as availability, MTBF, and MTTR, and lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
Coordinate maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and technical support during commissioning.
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, Permit to Work (PTW), Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), and environmental regulations.
Manage maintenance budgets, contractors, and maintenance resources effectively.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational performance.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 10–15 years of engineering and maintenance experience in pulp & paper or other heavy process industries.
Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Experience in plant commissioning and start-up is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, hydraulic, and utility systems.
Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent).
Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
A contract-based during project phase, with a high chance of permanent during operation & maintenance phase.
Willing to be placed in OKI, South Sumatra.
