Asia Pulp and Paper is seeking an Electrical System Operation Specialist to ensure safe, reliable operation of LV/MV/HV electrical systems in our facilities. The role includes monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and shutdown support across power plants and heavy industry sites.

The Electrical System Operation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems. This role covers system monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, shutdown support, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure reliable operation of LV 400V, MV 3.3kV/6.3kV/11kV, and HV 20kV/150kV systems.
Monitor transformers, MCCs, MV/HV switchgear, generators, and power-quality conditions.
Support generator synchronization, load flow, power factor correction, load shedding, and black-start activities.
Investigate alarms, trips, outages, and recurring electrical failures.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis and recommend permanent corrective actions.
Coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance through SAP PM.
Plan and support electrical work during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency restoration.
Verify protection relay settings and maintain accurate as-built drawings.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, hazardous-area requirements, and ISO/SMK3 audits.
Prepare technical reports, SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance documentation.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.
Support critical spare-parts management and post-shutdown evaluations.
Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in power plants, utilities, smelters, mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and HV electrical systems.
Experience with transformers, MCCs, switchgear, generators, motors, and protective relays.
Knowledge of generator synchronization, load flow, power factor correction, load shedding, and black start.
Experience with SAP PM, maintenance planning, shutdown management, and RCA.
Able to interpret P&IDs, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Familiar with IEC/IEEE standards, hazardous-area safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3, and K2.
Strong troubleshooting, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to communicate in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
