Job summary

Asia Pulp and Paper Group (APP) is seeking an experienced TPM professional to drive Total Productive Maintenance across its manufacturing operations in Indonesia. You will lead AM/PM initiatives, improve equipment reliability and OEE, and mentor teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelors in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or operational excellence within continuous process manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Strong TPM knowledge and pillar implementations.
  • Experience improving OEE, availability and equipment reliability.
  • Proficient in RCA, FMEA, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
  • Proven leadership to drive cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement TPM strategies aligned with business and operational objectives.
  • Lead the deployment and sustainability of TPM pillars across manufacturing operations.
  • Drive AM, PM, FI, and other TPM initiatives.
  • Improve equipment reliability, availability, and OEE via preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Conduct RCA and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor TPM performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, costs).
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, and others.
  • Lead TPM audits and maturity assessments while ensuring TPM standard compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes and reduce losses.
  • Coach and develop staff to strengthen TPM knowledge and culture of excellence.

Job description

Join our manufacturing excellence team and play a key role in driving operational performance through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). We are looking for an experienced TPM professional who is passionate about improving equipment reliability, increasing production efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement TPM strategies aligned with business and operational objectives.

Lead the deployment and sustainability of TPM pillars across manufacturing operations.

Drive Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Planned Maintenance (PM), Focused Improvement (FI), and other TPM initiatives.

Improve equipment reliability, availability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.

Establish, monitor, and analyze TPM performance metrics, including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance cost.

Facilitate cross functional collaboration between Maintenance, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to ensure successful TPM implementation.

Lead TPM audits, maturity assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with TPM standards.

Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance processes, reduce equipment losses, and improve operational efficiency.

Coach, mentor, and develop employees to strengthen TPM knowledge and promote a culture of operational excellence.

About you

Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, or operational excellence, including significant experience leading TPM initiatives.

Strong expertise in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies and TPM pillar implementation.

Hands on experience with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and equipment performance improvement.

Strong understanding of OEE, MTBF, MTTR, RCA, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Experience conducting TPM assessments, audits, and developing TPM roadmaps.

Strong analytical, problem solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams.

Experience in pulp & paper, FMCG, packaging, chemical, automotive, or other continuous process manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
