Job summary

Leighton Asia is seeking a senior HR professional to lead multiple HR functions on remote sites, ensuring alignment with project timelines and labor contracts. You will guide staff, coordinate recruitment with the hiring team, and drive policy development to support business needs.

The role requires 8–10 years in HR, familiarity with local employment law, and strong MS Office skills. You will partner with Legal for labour contracts and ensure effective onboarding across projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in human resources management or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of HR experience, preferably in construction/mining.
• Experience managing daily and monthly HR activities.
• Experience working on remote sites.
• Knowledge of local employment law and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize multiple HR functions and provide direction to staff.

• Develop HR policies and administer HR activities.

Job description

Key Accountabilities:

1. To organize multiple functional areas within Human Resources including providing technical direction to technical/professional and clerical staff within assigned areas
2. To maintain an effective and efficient two-way communication with the Hiring team on their recruitment needs, and render the right support, advice and assistance to them.
3. To maintain effectively and efficiently all start-up projects by establishing regular meetings with Project managers on the recruitment needs and target timelines..
4. To coordinate with Legal team on the contracts for the labour supply (non-staff), and follow-up with the labour supply agents to finalize the terms and conditions of the labour supply contracts.
5. To develop the design, implementation and administration of human resource policies and activities.
6. To provide report of HR annual budget preparation IN ORDER TO ensure compliance with the company budget guidelines and its monthly review
7. To ensure all new staff are inducted through the on boarding process in order to facilitate assimilation and understanding of corporate culture.

Requirements:

• Diploma in human resources management , undergraduate degree is preferable
• 8 – 10 years relevant experience
• In depth experience in managing daily, monthly activity all areas of human resources
• Experience working on remote site
• Preferred construction/mining industry experience
• Intermediate skills of MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Intermediate understanding of local employment act/law.
• Intermediate understanding of local statutory requirements
• Intermediate skill in job interview and dealing with community leaders
