Job summary

DOEUN Korean Grill in Menteng, Central Jakarta is seeking a Senior Waitstaff to assume Service Captain or Senior Waiter responsibilities. You will lead your section, ensure accurate orders, and coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and reception to deliver consistently excellent service.

The ideal candidate brings premium dining experience, strong knowledge of service sequences and etiquette, and confident Indonesian and English communication. Weekend shifts and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as a Captain or Senior Waiter in premium dining.
• Strong knowledge of service sequence and guest care.

Your Responsibilities

Deliver warm, attentive service throughout the guest journey.

Manage your assigned section, ensuring accurate orders, smooth service timing, and thoughtful follow-up.

Explain menus confidently and recommend dishes, beverages, and pairings suited to each guest.

Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, and reception team.

Recognize guest preferences, anticipate needs, and handle concerns professionally.

Maintain table presentation, cleanliness, and readiness before, during, and after service.

Support junior staff through practical guidance and teamwork.

Who We're Looking For

Relevant experience as a Captain or Senior Waiter, preferably in premium dining, a steakhouse, or an established restaurant.

Strong knowledge of service sequence, table etiquette, and guest care.

Confident communication in Bahasa Indonesia and conversational English.

A professional appearance, positive attitude, and attention to detail.

Ability to stay calm, organized, and responsive during busy service.

Willingness to learn Korean cuisine, ingredients, and DOEUN's service philosophy.

Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
