Job summary

BukuWarung is seeking a sharp, mid-to-senior level Business Associate to shape strategy and drive growth across Indonesia. You will design GTM plans for new retail segments, conduct market assessments, and develop practical, data-backed recommendations for senior leadership.

You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Operations, and Finance to optimize workflows, expand into new geographies, and mentor junior team members.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in business development, strategy, management consulting, or operations.
• Strong ability to identify problems and design scalable solutions.
• Excellent analytical and structured thinking with data and financial modelling.
• Experience with sales, retail, FMCG, or merchant contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for entering new retail segments and regional markets.
• Conduct market sizing, competitive analysis, and opportunity assessments to guide priorities.
• Build business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Identify partnership opportunities that accelerate merchant growth.
• Audit and map Retail Sales workflows to surface inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Design process improvements to reduce time-to-close and boost sales productivity.
• Develop SOPs, playbooks, and operational frameworks across the unit.
• Track KPIs and flag risks with proposed corrective actions.
• Lead market research and feasibility studies for new geographies in Indonesia.
• Coordinate cross-functional rollout of expansion initiatives.
