Job summary

Novotel Jakarta Cikini is seeking an experienced Stewarding Supervisor to lead and manage the stewarding department with professionalism and enthusiasm. You will develop schedules, oversee sanitation, HACCP compliance, and collaborate with the Executive Chef and hotel teams to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

The role requires 2-3 years of supervisory experience in hospitality, strong organizational and cost-control skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• HACCP principles, health and safety regulations, and sanitation standards are required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Interpersonal and communication abilities across departments.
• Experience with vendor management, procurement, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proven track record in inventory control, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, organize, and manage the stewarding department and team.
• Develop and implement work schedules, manage time, coordinate vacation planning, oversee overtime.
• Conduct training programs focused on hygiene, safety, and equipment operation.
• Monitor sanitation standards, HACCP compliance, and safety regulations.
• Oversee cleaning/maintenance of kitchen and back-of-house areas; ensure waste segregation.
• Coordinate procurement, inventory, and stock for equipment and supplies.
• Analyze costs, prepare departmental budgets, and report performance metrics.
• Organize equipment inventories and maintain records for improvement.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef, F&B Manager, and other departments for seamless ops.
• Oversee external vendors for maintenance, waste management, and supplies.
• Ensure smooth back-of-house during banquets, events, and VIP service.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and communicate department achievements.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and decisive decision-making in operations.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive team culture and staff development.
