Job summary

PT Hindo (H&M Indonesia) is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for our nationwide retail store network. You will coordinate M&E, HVAC, and electrical systems, manage contractors, monitor budgets, and ensure stores stay safe, compliant, and operational.

Based across Indonesia, you will lead day-to-day maintenance operations, review requests, develop preventive programs, inspect stores, and report on cost, performance, and vendor quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in retail maintenance, facilities management, or similar.
• Experience managing maintenance operations for multiple retail stores is highly preferred.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Maintenance Supervisor to support the maintenance operations of our retail store network across Indonesia. This role will be responsible for coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing contractors and vendors, monitoring maintenance budgets, and ensuring stores remain safe, functional, and compliant with company standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in retail or fashion store maintenance, solid technical knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), HVAC, and electrical systems, and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

Support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations across all retail stores.

Monitor and manage maintenance requests to ensure issues are resolved within agreed timelines.

Review and prioritize maintenance issues based on urgency, operational impact, and safety considerations.

Track and follow up on work orders from initiation through closure.

Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.

Escalate critical or recurring maintenance issues with recommendations for corrective actions.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for:

Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems

Air-conditioning and HVAC systems

Electrical systems and installations

Lighting and store fixtures

General building maintenance

Ensure all preventive maintenance activities are completed according to schedule.

Monitor recurring issues and implement long-term solutions to improve store reliability and performance.

Coordinate and manage contractors, vendors, technicians, and service providers.

Review quotations and evaluate costs against the scope of work and budget requirements.

Monitor vendor performance, workmanship quality, responsiveness, and compliance with service standards.

Ensure contractors comply with company policies, mall regulations, and safety requirements.

Maintain an updated database of approved vendors, contractors, warranties, and service records.

Store Inspection & Compliance

Conduct regular store inspections across Indonesia.

Assess store conditions and identify maintenance requirements before issues become critical.

Inspect M&E systems, HVAC, electrical installations, lighting, fixtures, finishes, and overall store condition.

Verify completion and quality of rectification works.

Ensure stores consistently meet company operational, safety, and brand standards.

Cost Control & Reporting

Prepare maintenance budgets, cost estimates, and expenditure reports.

Monitor maintenance spending and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.

Maintain accurate maintenance trackers, schedules, and cost records.

Prepare maintenance reports, performance updates, and analysis for management review.

Ensure all maintenance documentation is complete, organized, and easily accessible.

Qualifications

Education

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering, Facilities Management, or related disciplines.

Experience

Minimum 7 years of experience in retail maintenance, facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role.

Experience managing maintenance operations for multiple retail stores is highly preferred.

Experience in fashion, lifestyle, or retail brands within shopping malls is an advantage.
