We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to lead the design and delivery of retail store development projects across fashion and lifestyle brands. This role is ideal for a highly creative and technically skilled professional with extensive experience in retail environments, particularly within shopping malls and fashion retail.
You will be responsible for managing projects from concept development through construction, fit-out, handover, and store opening while working closely with brand principals, landlords, consultants, contractors, and vendors. The successful candidate will possess strong design capabilities, technical expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Lead retail store projects from concept design through completion and store opening.
Develop design concepts, layouts, material selections, and technical documentation.
Act as the key design liaison between the company and brand principals.
Present design proposals and incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively.
Coordinate with landlords, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met.
Review construction drawings, shop drawings, mock-ups, and material submissions.
Coordinate closely with contractors, suppliers, shopfitters, and vendors during project execution.
Conduct site inspections and monitor implementation quality and design compliance.
Identify and resolve design, technical, and construction issues proactively.
Monitor project schedules and ensure design deliverables are completed on time.
Maintain accurate project documentation, approvals, records, and reports.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in retail interior design, retail architecture, or store development.
Strong experience in fashion retail and shopping mall environments.
Proven ability to manage projects from concept design through construction and handover.
Strong knowledge of retail space planning, materials, finishes, fixtures, and shopfitting.
Good understanding of M&E coordination and technical drawing interpretation.
Ability to review architectural, interior, and construction documentation.
Strong site coordination and project follow-up capabilities.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organized with strong documentation and administrative skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
