Job summary

PT Hindo, operator of H&M Indonesia in Jakarta, seeks an Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in import transactions, inventory, supplier payments, cash flow, FX, and reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 4–6 years’ experience, fluency in Bahasa and English, strong Excel and SAP skills, and Brevet A & Brevet B certifications, with cross-functional coordination to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax requirements.
• Brevet A & Brevet B certification held.
• Good understanding of Indonesian tax and statutory requirements.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly closing and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Monitor and review import transactions, including supplier invoices, shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and other import-related costs.
• Ensure proper inventory and landed cost accounting for imported goods and monitor intercompany sales transactions.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and ensure appropriate recording of FX gains/losses.
• Assist in cash flow management and forecasting for import and supplier payments.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations including bank, AP, inventory, and intercompany accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis and explain key variances.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, customs, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external stakeholders.

Job description

Support the Finance Manager in managing the company's finance and accounting activities, with a particular focus on import transactions, inventory, supplier payments, cash flow, foreign currency transactions, and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

Support monthly closing and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions

Monitor and review import transactions, including supplier invoices, shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, and other import-related costs

Ensure proper inventory and landed cost accounting for imported goods as well as monitoring the intercompany sales transactions

About you

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

4-6 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in an importer or distribution company

Fluent in Bahasa and English

Good understanding of import transactions, inventory accounting, landed costs, customs duties, and foreign currency transactions

Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and tax requirements. Hold at least Brevet A & Brevet B certification

Good understanding of Indonesian tax and statutory requirements

Strong Excel skills and experience with SAP systems

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Proactive, hands-on, and commercially minded, with the ability to work effectively with multiple departments
