Maison Iconia Bali is seeking a Senior Furniture, Decoration & FF&E Specialist to lead development, sourcing and coordination of furniture, bespoke pieces and decorative elements for a luxury villa project in Bali. As part of the development of Maison Iconia Bali, we are looking for an experienced Furniture, Decoration & FF&E Specialist to contribute to the execution of a luxury villa currently under development, support the Swiss headquarters on Asian projects and build a strong sourcing and manufacturing network across Bali, Indonesia and wider Asian Region.
The Bali branch will initially focus on three key areas:
The follow-up of a prestigious luxury villa currently under development in Bali;
Technical and creative support to Maison Iconia's Swiss headquarters for projects in Asia;
The development of a reliable network of local professionals, manufacturers and suppliers for swiss and international projects.
The Furniture, Decoration & FF&E Specialist will be responsible for the development, sourcing, technical coordination and follow-up of furniture, bespoke pieces, decorative elements, FF&E and OS&E packages.
A major part of the role will involve supporting the ongoing development of a high-end private villa in Bali, coordinating furniture and decoration packages, bespoke production and installation.
The successful candidate will also work closely with Maison Iconia's headquarters to identify, evaluate and coordinate Asian manufacturers and suppliers for hospitality and luxury residential projects.
A fundamental responsibility of the position will be the creation of a reliable network of high-quality bespoke furniture manufacturers, millworkers, FF&E suppliers, OS&E producers, craftsmen and specialist professionals.
Coordinate the sourcing, development and follow-up of furniture, bespoke pieces, decorative elements and accessories for a luxury private villa currently under development in Bali.
Work closely with the Interior Architect, Swiss headquarters, client and local project team.
Develop and coordinate FF&E schedules, specifications and procurement documentation.
Follow up bespoke furniture, custom joinery, decorative lighting, rugs, textiles, artwork and accessories.
Coordinate samples, finishes, prototypes and mock-ups.
Monitor production schedules, lead times, deliveries and installation.
Participate in site visits and ensure that furniture and decorative elements are correctly installed and consistent with the approved design.
Support final styling and project completion.
Collaborate with the Maison Iconia design and architecture teams on hospitality and luxury residential projects.
Source furniture, materials, decorative elements and specialist suppliers appropriate to each project.
Identify local and regional alternatives capable of meeting Maison Iconia's design and quality expectations.
Support the development of FF&E and OS&E concepts and packages.
Coordinate with manufacturers during the technical development of bespoke furniture and decorative elements.
Review quotations, technical proposals, shop drawings, samples and prototypes.
Follow up production at furniture manufacturers, millworkers and specialist workshops.
Organize and participate in factory visits and quality-control inspections when required.
Managing and Assuring logistics processes.
Ensure that production quality, finishes, materials and detailing comply with Maison Iconia's specifications.
Provide regular reporting to the Swiss headquarters regarding sourcing opportunities, costs, production progress, quality and potential risks.
Identify and establish relationships with high-quality furniture manufacturers and bespoke workshops across Bali, Indonesia and Asia.
Research and qualify specialist millworkers, joinery manufacturers and producers of custom-made interior elements.
Build a network of suppliers for luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects.
Identify and evaluate FF&E suppliers, including furniture, lighting, textiles, rugs, accessories, artwork and decorative objects.
Identify reliable OS&E producers and suppliers for hospitality projects.
Develop relationships with local craftsmen and specialist producers in wood, stone, metal, ceramics, textiles, weaving and other traditional or contemporary crafts.
Source qualified professionals and specialist partners capable of supporting Maison Iconia projects, including technical consultants, fabricators and installation specialists.
Evaluate suppliers according to quality, design capabilities, production capacity, reliability, technical expertise, pricing and lead times.
Create opportunities to develop exclusive or bespoke collections and solutions together with selected manufacturers and craftsmen.
Degree or professional background in Interior Design, Product Design, Furniture Design, Decoration or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in luxury furniture, FF&E, interior decoration, sourcing or procurement.
Proven experience in luxury hospitality and/or high-end residential projects.
Excellent knowledge of furniture, materials, textiles, decorative lighting and interior finishes.
Strong experience with bespoke furniture development, production and logistics.
Experience working directly with manufacturers, millworkers and craftsmen.
Good understanding of technical drawings, shop drawings and furniture production processes.
Experience with supplier qualification, procurement and production follow-up.
Knowledge of the Bali, Indonesian and/or wider Asian furniture manufacturing ecosystem is highly desirable.
Fluent professional English; Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
We are looking for someone with an exceptional eye for quality, detail, materials and craftsmanship, combined with strong organizational and logistics awareness.
The successful candidate should be equally comfortable working with Maison Iconia's international design team, visiting a furniture factory, sourcing a unique artisan, negotiating with a supplier or supervising the decoration at the installation of a luxury villa.
This is a highly entrepreneurial and hands-on position, offering the opportunity to become a key member of the founding team of Maison Iconia Bali and to help build a strategic sourcing and production platform supporting Maison Iconia's development throughout Asia.
