Job description

Maison Bali is a fast-growing interior design, architecture and villa development studio based in Canggu. In less than a year, we have built a community of over 500,000 followers and designed projects for villas, restaurants, beach clubs and hotels in Bali, Lombok, Thailand, Africa and beyond.

We design for international clients who want spaces that feel warm, natural and premium, with a strong sense of place. We combine traditional craftsmanship (Javanese joglos, local wood, natural materials) with modern workflows, including AI for concepts and renders.

We are now looking for a talented Interior Designer with a strong portfolio of villa and/or hotel projects to lead design projects from concept to delivery.

What you will do

Lead interior design projects for villas, hotels, restaurants and retreats, from first concept to final handover

Create concepts, moodboards, material and color palettes, and space planning

Select and design furniture, lighting and decor, and build complete FF&E lists

Produce or supervise 3D models and renders (SketchUp, with AI rendering support from our team)

Prepare client presentations and present your design choices with confidence

Work with our drafters, architects, procurement team and furniture suppliers to make sure the design is built as intended

Do site visits in Bali when needed to follow installation and quality

What we are looking for

3+ years of experience as an interior designer

A strong portfolio with real, completed projects, ideally villas, boutique hotels or hospitality

A refined eye for natural, tropical and premium design (wood, stone, rattan, linen, warm lighting)

Good command of SketchUp and AutoCAD. Experience with renders (V-Ray, Enscape, D5 or similar) is a plus

Good knowledge of materials, furniture construction and local suppliers in Bali or Java

Good English (written and spoken), as most of our clients are international

Organized and autonomous, able to handle several projects at the same time

Curious and open to new tools, including AI for concepts and visuals

What we offer

Competitive net salary, plus BPJS and THR

Hybrid setup: remote, plus regular days at our studio in Canggu

Beautiful, high-end projects in Bali and abroad

A young, ambitious team in hypergrowth, with real responsibility from day one

Room to grow into a Lead Designer role as the studio expands

How we recruit

We start with a short, paid trial mission on a real project. If it goes well on both sides, we move forward with a full-time position.
