Responsibilities

• Maintain reception desk and lobby area cleanliness and organization.
• Process payments and manage cash register accurately.
• Provide information about hotel services, local tourism, and dining recommendations.

About the role

We are seeking a Receptionist DW to join the front office team at Abian Harmony Hotel in Denpasar, Bali. This is a contract position that plays a vital role in creating the first impression for our guests. As a Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel, responsible for managing guest arrivals, departures, and enquiries with professionalism and warmth. Your role is essential to ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the smooth operation of our front desk services.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting guests upon arrival and departure with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Processing check-ins and check-outs efficiently whilst maintaining accuracy in guest records
• Handling guest enquiries regarding room facilities, local attractions, dining options and hotel services
• Managing telephone calls and directing them to appropriate departments or staff members
• Processing reservations, amendments and cancellations using the hotel management system
• Coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance and other departments to address guest requests promptly
• Handling guest complaints and concerns with empathy, escalating issues when necessary
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception desk and lobby area
• Processing payments and managing the cash register with accuracy
• Providing information about hotel services, local tourism and dining recommendations

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a hotel reception, front desk or guest-facing hospitality role
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Indonesian is essential; knowledge of additional languages such as Mandarin, Japanese or Korean would be highly advantageous
• Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and computer applications including Microsoft Office
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Professional appearance and presentation at all times
• Flexibility to work various shift patterns including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
• A positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Knowledge of Bali, local attractions and tourism would be beneficial
