Kaileuang Yeelin Investment is a real estate development and EPC company that integrates real estate development, architectural design, engineering construction, and consulting services. The company was established and developed in Bali since 2022 by Chinese registered architects and many Chinese real estate development experts, and currently has several resort, apartment complex, and villa projects under construction.
We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Purchasing Staff with an active network/connections with building material suppliers, to manage the purchasing, procurement, and stock control of construction materials in support of the company's project operations.
Job Description
- Carry out purchasing and procurement of building materials according to project needs (cement, steel, timber, paint, tiles, pipes, and other construction materials)
- Search for, compare, and select suppliers/material stores offering the best price and quality
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Create and manage purchase orders (PO) and ensure purchasing documents are complete and accurate
- Monitor material stock availability and reorder before stock runs out
- Coordinate with the project/site team regarding material requirements and specifications
- Check the quality and quantity of materials upon receipt (incoming goods quality control)
- Compile and regularly update material price data and the supplier list
- Prepare periodic purchasing reports, price comparisons, and procurement realization reports
- Ensure the purchasing process runs efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Maintain and develop good relationships with material stores/suppliers to secure the best pricing and priority service
- Follow up on goods delivery to ensure it matches the schedule agreed with suppliers
- Handle returns or claims for materials that do not meet specification/quality requirements
General Qualifications
- Minimum high school/vocational diploma; a D3/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Management, or a related field is preferred
- Understands the general types, specifications, and quality of building materials
- Having an active network/connections with building material stores/suppliers is a major plus
- Detail-oriented, quick, and possesses good negotiation skills
- Able to work with project procurement targets and deadlines
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel and/or simple procurement applications for record-keeping
- Honest, disciplined, and responsible in managing the purchasing budget
- Holds a C/A driving license and is willing to visit stores/suppliers when required
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
- Highly proactive in seeking alternative suppliers to obtain the best prices
- Active proficiency in English (spoken & written)
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in building materials purchasing/procurement, with the following general criteria:
- Must have work experience as purchasing staff, or a related position at a building materials store
- Must have a network/connections with building material suppliers that can be directly leveraged to support the company's operations
- Understands market prices and price fluctuations of building materials
- Experienced in bulk purchasing for project needs
- Has experience negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and payment terms
- Experienced in managing purchasing documents, POs, and stock reports
- Experience with contractor, developer, or property companies is an advantage
