About the role

We are seeking a Construction Purchasing | Warehouse Keeper to join PT China Construction Yangtze River Indonesia in a full-time capacity. This role is pivotal in managing the procurement and warehouse operations for our construction projects. You will be based in West Cikarang, West Java, where you will oversee the efficient acquisition, storage, and distribution of construction materials and equipment. This position combines purchasing expertise with warehouse management, ensuring that all materials are procured cost-effectively, stored safely, and readily available for project execution. Your role will be essential in supporting our construction operations and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Identify suppliers and negotiate prices for construction materials, equipment and services to achieve cost savings and maintain quality standards
• Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites in accordance with project schedules
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to ensure materials are accounted for and available when needed
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to understand material requirements and delivery specifications
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials for quality, quantity and compliance with purchase specifications
• Organise and manage warehouse storage, ensuring materials are properly stored, labelled and easily accessible
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering processes to prevent stock-outs or overstocking
• Prepare reports on inventory status, procurement activities and warehouse performance for management review
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations in the warehouse and procurement operations
• Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues and maintain positive relationships

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement or warehouse management within the construction or manufacturing industries
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and industry procurement practices
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple suppliers and large quantities of materials
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment
• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of logistics, transportation and warehouse safety procedures
• Certificate or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management or related field is preferred
• Familiarity with construction project timelines and material scheduling is advantageous
