Job summary

PT BREXA Raya Indonesia is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for overseas and local suppliers, including machinery and production materials. The role requires strong English communication with overseas partners and Japanese management while overseeing teams in Surabaya and Karawang.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Purchasing/Procurement, at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, and experience in production-related industries such as film, plastics, or packaging.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchase Manager or Assistant Manager with proven management experience.
• Business-level English is mandatory for communicating with overseas suppliers and Japanese management.
• Experience in production management is a strong advantage.
• Experience in industries related to film, plastic molding, flexible packaging, printing, or similar manufacturing industries is preferred.

Manage purchasing activities for both overseas and local suppliers.

Manage procurement of machinery, spare parts, and other production-related materials.

Coordinate and communicate with overseas suppliers in English.

Monitor and manage purchasing processes to ensure smooth procurement operations.

Work closely with relevant departments and coordinate procurement requirements.

Manage and lead a team of long-tenured employees.

Oversee purchasing operations for manufacturing facilities in Surabaya and Karawang.

Prepare reports and communicate directly with a Japanese.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement.

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Purchase Manager or Assistant Manager with proven management experience.

Experience in production management is a strong advantage.

Experience in industries related to film, plastic molding, flexible packaging, printing, or similar manufacturing industries is preferred.

Business-level English is mandatory, as the position requires communication and meetings with overseas suppliers and an English-speaking supervisor.

Strong management and leadership skills, particularly in managing an experienced, predominantly team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with Japanese management.
