Job summary

PT Bahari Eka Nusantara (Ben Line Agencies) seeks an experienced Permits Manager to oversee vessel and work permits for Indonesian operations in O&G, cabling, dredging, and renewables. You will monitor local and national maritime regulations and ensure full project compliance, while maintaining SOPs and guiding clients through regulatory requirements.

The role also covers assisting with new branch permits, managing crew documentation, and liaising with internal teams to mitigate regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or marketing required.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore/oilfield sales or business development.
• Experience engaging commercially with O&G industry players is essential.
• Strong English communication skills.

Job description

Manage all vessel and work permits for Indonesian operations across Oil & Gas, Cable Laying, Dredging, and Renewables.

Stay updated on local and national maritime regulations (including cabotage rules) and ensure full project compliance.

Maintain SOPs and process flows, explaining regulatory requirements clearly to clients.

Assist with permits and requirements for establishing new company branches in Indonesia.

Handle all project-based crew and manpower documentation.

Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor laws, immigration rules, offshore requirements, and QSHE policies.

Keep up with changing manpower and immigration regulations, updating SOPs and client documentation accordingly.

Oversee customs, import/export permits, temporary imports, bonded cargo, and Master List processes (BKPM & Oil & Gas).

Ensure project cargo, equipment, and materials clear regulatory requirements efficiently.

Keep logistics SOPs updated and guide clients through current customs procedures.

Serve as the main point of contact for project formalities across internal teams (Operations, Logistics, QHSE, Business Development).

Communicate regulatory risks and requirements clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Support project kick-offs, progress reviews, and close-outs regarding regulatory approvals.

Monitor environmental regulations and special permit requirements for offshore vessel operations.

Explain permit types, processing timelines, and potential bottlenecks directly to clients.

Create and update SOPs for environmental and special regulatory permits.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in a business or marketing related subject.

Must have minimum 10 years’ experience working within the offshore, oilfield sales or business development.

Experience in engaging commercially with O&G industry players previously is a must for this ro

Strong English proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.

Strong skill in Building rapport, establishing relationships, and working well within a team.

Have a good relationship with stakeholder in government to get an update for all permit and formalities.

Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, MS Project.
