Job summary

Indesso, a leading Indonesian producer of aromatic chemicals, natural extracts and essential oils, seeks a Production Planner to coordinate material planning, PRs, and inventory across plants. The role ensures production continuity, timely order fulfillment, and cost efficiency.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, have 1 year of planning experience (fresh graduates welcome), and be proficient in Excel with ERP/SAP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Production Planning or related functions; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management, and material planning.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/SAP is a plus.
• Willing to be contracted under an outsource company.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Purchasing for PRs of raw materials.
• Coordinate with Warehouse and QC for monthly clove oil requirements and availability.
• Plan across plants to ensure production continuity.
• Prepare repackaging orders based on production and customer needs.
• Monitor safety stock and inventory for production.
• Evaluate MRP results and translate into planned orders.
• Monitor material arrival and scheduling.
• Identify ways to improve cost efficiency and service levels.
• Ensure on-time order fulfillment.
• Maintain documentation and archiving of planner records.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and coordination of manufacturing planning systems and processes.

Coordinate with the Purchasing team regarding Purchase Requisitions (PR) for raw materials.

Coordinate with Warehouse and QC teams to determine the monthly requirements and availability of clove oil based on its types.

Coordinate with Sales Administration to monitor Sales Orders (SO) where materials are already available but the delivery schedule has passed or is approaching.

Plan and coordinate raw material requirements across plants to ensure production continuity.

Prepare repackaging order plans based on production and customer requirements.

Monitor safety stock and material inventory levels in the warehouse to ensure sufficient materials for production.

Evaluate MRP (Material Requirements Planning) results and translate them into planned orders and production schedules.

Prepare and monitor material arrival and material requirement schedules.

Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and service level through effective production and material planning.

Monitor order fulfillment to ensure customer orders are completed and delivered on time.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure all planner-related documents are accurately recorded and well archived in the system.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Chemisry / Mathematics / Industrial Engineering

Minimum 1 year of experience in Production Planning, Material Planning, Supply Chain, or related functions, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.

Good understanding of MRP, production planning, inventory management, and material requirements planning.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP/SAP systems will be an advantage.

Willing to be contracted under outsource company
