PT HORMEL PRONAS NUSANTARA is seeking an experienced Production Manager for our Batang, Central Java facility. The role oversees all production operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant processes to meet quality targets and customer demand.

You will lead a skilled team, manage schedules and budgets, and drive continuous improvements across planning, production, and maintenance, while working with cross-functional groups and senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
• 5-7 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in leading production teams and achieving targets.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Thorough understanding of food safety standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluency in Indonesian and English.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our manufacturing facility in Batang, Central Java. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing all aspects of production operations at our plant. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant manufacturing processes whilst driving productivity and quality improvements. This position reports to senior management and is integral to achieving our operational objectives and maintaining our reputation for excellence in food production.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations and ensure all manufacturing activities run efficiently and safely in compliance with established procedures and regulations
• Manage production schedules, coordinate with planning teams, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands
• Monitor production metrics, quality standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
• Lead and supervise production staff, including scheduling, training, performance management, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to food safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and all relevant regulatory requirements throughout the production process
• Manage production budgets, control costs, and optimise resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency
• Identify and implement process improvements, equipment upgrades, and operational innovations to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including maintenance, quality assurance, planning, and logistics to ensure seamless operations
• Maintain comprehensive production records, documentation, and reports as required by company policies and regulatory standards

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of production management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing or related industries
• Proven track record of successfully leading production teams and achieving operational targets
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management systems
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions
• Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all organisational levels
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety in the workplace
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential; additional languages are advantageous
