Job summary

Japfa Food Indonesia (Wonoayu) is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead production staff, plan schedules, and ensure quality and safety standards. You will coordinate with QC, maintenance, and logistics to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. A strong background in engineering and GMP/ISO awareness is required.

The role involves shift work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a production supervisory role in manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, including training, performance management, and scheduling.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely completion of orders and efficient resource utilization.
• Identify and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and process deviations to minimize downtime and maximize output.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, hygiene, and environmental protection.
• Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, waste, and quality control data.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to optimize overall operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of production facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all production staff, promoting safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Food, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical) or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in animal feed or food processing.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO standards is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work in shifts and adapt to flexible working hours as required by production demands.
